Exciting news and Craft Crossing Event!

I haven't posted anything in a couple of days!  It's been an exciting time!  First, we got the news that Maggie had been accepted to grad school (biology) at U.T.  Then, last Friday, she called (barely audible) to tell me Daniel had asked her to marry him.  They came over for dinner last Sunday to share their excitement and show me the beautiful vintage engagement ring.  Wednesday, Daniel got the news that he had been accepted to grad school at U.T. (speech pathology).  Wow!  Trying to find the ground!  So......I've been spending time with my daughter, Maggie, talking about wedding plans.  Tomorrow we will spend the day together looking at venues for a reception and discussing her engagement party!  It's looking like a January wedding.

Last Saturday, a group of us (Janet, Jilda, JS, Joyce and Karen) went to Craft Crossing in Gonzales for a day of Make n' Takes with fun new people, a Texana Designs trunk sale, getting to know Pam, the owner of Craft Crossing and Penci.....  It could not have been more fun!!
We had four Make n' Takes going at the same time:  Jilda (Easter box with Dienamics), Janet (Iris Folding, Joyce (Paper-Piecing) and JS (painting with Smooch and Pearlescent Watercolors).  Karen took care of orders and photographing the event.  Afterwards, we had some of the best cheese enchiladas!  Thanks Pam, for the recommendation!

P.S.  Connie Mercer just posted her Texana Designs Make n' Takes on her blog - crafty goodies.  Thanks, Connie!
