Take a minute to check out the details on Karen's blog!
Thank you, Karen!

It's another Verbena day with Libby's card!

I know the days are getting warmer here, but the mornings are fabulous! Since I'm working on a weight loss program, these mornings walking in the cool breeze and enjoying all the Spring blooms have become my best friend!

It's another Verbena day and this design by Libby is so soft and subtle.  I felt a sense of peace when I first saw it.
Love it, Libby!

Verbena by Jilda

Good morning!  Happy Thursday everyone!

Here's one classy card designed by one classy lady!
Jilda designed this card using Texana Designs Jam'n Verbena and I "heart" wildflowers stamps.  I love the layering on this card using red and black cardstock, Memory Box specialty paper, Die-Namics Oval Decorative Doily Duo and Large Scallop, and May Arts JD01 ribbon.  She also used red and black stamp pads, Clear Spica pen, and Black Diamond Stickles.  Sometimes (in my opinion) a card can be so busy the stamped image gets lost.  In this case, it brings the image right to the front.
Job well done Jilda!  Love it!

Fall Came Early at My House!

I continue to be completely amazed at this Design Team!!  Don't get me wrong, I know they are talented, gifted, creative beings  --  and so much more!  The time, energy and talent they have given to this team is truly appreciated.  I'm so blessed!

This week, my friend, maker of Maggie's wedding dress, and Design Team Member Karen Lambert, gave me this beautiful wreath filled with Texana Designs Jam'n leaves.  Wow!  It's amazing!  There's really no need for me to go any further, you just have to go to Karen's blog to see the detailed tutorial for this wreath.
Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Petit Jean State Park

Tom and I spent 4 days at Petit Jean State Park, AR last weekend.  So beautiful.  So peaceful.  So lush and green! We hiked 10 miles (and I mean climbed/hiked) in two days with most of the trails to ourselves.  It was truly a zenful 4 days and wanted to share some of the gorgeous scenery with you.

Sunrise Point at Tanyard Spring.  Not another soul around.  Peaceful.

Birdhouses and Wildflowers!

Good morning!  It's been a few days.  I took a 4-day trip to Petit Jean Park in Arkansas - so gorgeous.  I will be posting pics later.
The Design Team just completed their designs using the Jam'n Birdhouse and once again, so unique and different.  I love them all!
Thanks!

Libby created this beautiful canvas using the Texana Designs Jam'n Birdhouse, Jam'n Cactus Cluster, Jam'n Wildflower Cluster, and I'm just WILD about Texas FLOWERS!  She painted on the canvas using her Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paints.  Wow! And even more wow photographed outside with all the greenery!   Libby highly recommends going outside one's comfort zone from time to time.  Libby, please go outside your comfort zone - ANYTIME!

Karen is the queen of the Silhouette Studio and you can find the Birdhouse file on her blog.  She created this card using Texana Designs stamps Jam'n Birdhouse, Jam'n Cactus Cluster, Jam'n Wildflower Cluster and I'm WILD about Texas FLOWERS and painted the images with Yasutomo Pearlescent Watercolor Paints (another favorite of mine!).  I love how she made the Cactus Cluster pop using the masking technique.  Love this card!

And then there's Jilda, the queen of Die-namics!  And this card has the Die-namics Woodgrain Fence and Fresh Cut Grass (one of my favorites!).  Using Texana Designs Jam'n Birdhouse, Jam'n Wildflower Border and I'm WILD about Texas FLOWERS, Jilda painted the images with Lindy's Gang Magicals and Copics!  So Spring fresh looking and those wildflowers look so natural with the grass die!  Awesome!

Janet made several cards for the assignment (she was having too much fun!).  This is my favorite.  She turned the Birdhouse into a Mailbox by using metallic tape.  Check out Janet's blog for the whole story.  Here's an excerpt from her blog:
"I just couldn't help myself.  I kept seeing a mailbox when I looked at the birdhouse and I got to thinking "what if I just changed the front a little to make it a door instead of a hole?"  And it worked... I stamped the image with black stazon on metallic tape and was able to modify the front slightly.  I added a brad for the knob and "US Mail" and voilà!  I stamped it again on thin wood paper for the post.  I painted the roof with sharpie markers and a white pen.  I liked what I was seeing."
I'm so glad she couldn't help herself!
Happy Stamping!

Janet's Birdhouse/Mailbox

Good morning! I've missed a few days of posting, but for a good reason - an engagement party for Maggie (my daughter)!  Perfect weather.  Lots of yummy food!  Great company!  Ping pong.  Frisbee.  Bubbles.  Apples to Apples.
This last group of Texana Designs stamps for the Design Team was way too much fun for Janet.  She got a little carried away (in a good way) with the Jam'n Birdhouse stamp.  See you yourself!  Also, go to Janet's blog for details.
Love them all, Janet!
Thanks!
