I've done a lot of paper-piecing with our chicken stamps, but I've not done any Copics with them.  Megan has inspired me to have a little Copic fun with our chicken stamps.  These cards that Megan designed are so rich in color and beautiful.  Yes, chickens can be beautiful!

Chicks Rule! Day 1.

Good morning!
I love my chickies!
We have 4 that provide us with fresh eggs daily.
They loved to be petted.
They love yogurt, spinach, watermelon, strawberries.
They get so excited every evening when the back door opens for their evening treat!

We got our first chickens about a year ago.  I named them after neurotransmitters!
Two of them had head-on collisions with a raccoon.  It was painful.
Now they are all called "Hey chickies"!

This week is all about chickens!  We have 4 chicken stamps:  Chicken 1 (below), Chicken 2, Chicken 3 and Chicken 3 flipped (someone had to do it!)  These chickies are so versatile and paper-piecing definitely adds a little personality to each chick!  Karen's card design uses our brand new stamp "Chicks Rule!"  Yes, we do!
Love the die you used for the sentiment Karen!  Thank you!

Janet's TH 101 Day!

Good morning!
Just returned from Galveston/Clear Lake City.  Great trip!  Awesome B&B!
Fun, fun, fun Ferry Ride!
Check out photos here!

Before we start our "chickies" postings, I wanted to share some cards Janet made during her TH 101 lessons using our new/renewed Jam'n Mexican Hat and Jam'n Brown-eyed Susan by artist Joyce A. Meyer.  Oh how I love the colors Janet used on the 4 Jam'n Mexican Hat samples and she distressed the ribbon!!  AND all the fun dies and punches she used on the Brown-eyed Susan card!
Thank you, Janet!
You've inspired me to go back and do more of his classes.
It's a good thing I can do them on my own schedule!!

If you haven't taken Tim Holtz's Chemistry 101 classes, I highly recommend them.  They are so much more than a class.  He really packs the information into these pre-class videos and classes.

Peep! Peep! Peep! Day 3.

Good morning!
Trying to finish up some last minute Texana Designs projects, business and stamp orders before heading to Galveston/Nassau Bay (Houston) this weekend staying at what looks to be a very nice B&B in Galveston called Coppersmith Inn.  Going to Moody Gardens, morning and evening walks on the beach, ride the ferry and then spend Father's Day with Tom's family.

But right now it's time for another "peep" card designed by Karen Lambert.  These birdies always make me smile and I love the colors Karen used on this card.  Go to Karen's blog for this card tutorial about what to do when you don't leave room for a sentiment!
Thanks, Karen!
