Everything is SWEET in Texas

Well, maybe not the heat!

But tea is my favorite beverage in the summer!

I love, love, love this card!  Megan made this card (using Texana Designs Jam'n Mason Jar, Jam'n Rectangle and Everything is "sweet" in Texas! stamps) during our last team stamp/play day and it was such fun watching her experiment with this "pencil and ink resist" technique.  Check out the tutorial on Megan's blog.  I also love Megan's way of using our sentiments: she cuts each word separately from the sentiment for better placement and "sweet" touches to the card.

More Hummingbirds!

Good morning!

I'm finally seeing a card done with distress markers.  Maybe it's due to a 6 month delay in receiving them.  Talk about delayed gratification!!

Janet's card using Texana Designs Hummingbird/Hibiscus and Caring thoughts.... is just beautiful!  The Colorbok patterned paper perfectly match the distress markers.  It has a very calming effect - so the sentiment is very appropriate.

Joyce in Action!

Good morning!
We had a fabulous time at Scrapbook n' More yesterday!  Joyce taught her famous Cuttlebug Class for the first time at Scrapbook n' More.  She had 15 enthusiastic participants.  Joyce said she could not have done it without her long-time friend, Ginger!


Many, many thanks to Design Team members Karen and Jilda for setting up the trunk sale while I did  Make n' Takes.  Karen also took these great photos of the event.  And thanks to the entire team for such creative samples that were displayed on the table.  I consistently hear from our customers that our samples are the best!!!


And many, many thanks to Susan (owner of Scrapbook n' More) for making life easy for us when we "took over" her store!!  Many of the products we used for the classes and Make n' Takes were "sold out" by the end of the day and orders placed for more.

I took a little break from the blog!

So excited about the daily rains and storms here in Central Texas.

I might even need to mow the grass this weekend.

Actually, one of my favorite things to do, especially since I have a "sweet" riding lawnmower!

The Design Team (we missed you Libby-next time I'll Skype you) had a fabulous play day.  The inspiration was so thick in the room one could actually grab it!!
